Bravoxin 10
Bravoxin 10 is a liquid vaccine for injection containing inactivated clostridial antigens with an aluminium potassium sulphate (alum) adjuvant. It is a light brown aqueous suspension that settles on storage, which resuspends on shaking. Bravoxin 10 is for the active immunisation of sheep and cattle against diseases caused by Clostridiumperfringens type A; C. perfringens type B; C. perfringens type C; C. perfringens type D; C. chauvoei; C. novyi type B; C. septicum; C. sordellii; C. haemolyticum and against tetanus caused by C. tetani. For the passive immunisation of lambs and calves against infection caused by the above mentioned clostridial species (except C. haemolyticum in sheep). Bravoxin 10 is available in 100ml packs.
Footvax is a fluid vaccine containing ten strains of inactivated Bacteroides nodosus with an oil adjuvant. Thiomersal BP 0.015% w/v is added as a preservative.
For the vaccination of sheep as an aid to the prevention and treatment of footrot caused by Bacteroides nodosus.
20 ml, 50 ml and 250 ml.
Pasteurella pneumonia is the biggest killer of sheep. Nearly all sheep carry the organisms on their tonsils and when animals are stressed, disease often results. Clostridial diseases can also strike without warning. The organisms responsible for these are widespread in the soil. The diseases are invariably fatal and all sheep are at risk.
Heptavac-P Plus provides effective pasteurella and clostridial protection for breeding sheep. It is essential to give replacement ewes (and rams) two 2ml doses, 4 to 6 weeks apart when they join the flock. A booster dose is also required pre-lambing to maintain the ewe’s immunity and to provide high levels of antibodies that can be passed on to her lambs via the colostrum.
For growing and store lambs Ovivac-P Plus should be used.
Heptavac-P Plus contains antigens from seven clostridial species and antigens from the most important serotypes of Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella trehalosi.
Low density polyethylene containers of 50, 100, 250 or 500 ml with rubber closure and aluminium cap.
The economic impact of losses due to pasteurellosis and clostridial diseases can be devastating. Lamb deaths are only part of the loss. Even surviving lambs are liable to suffer long term losses in condition and weight. While they may look perfectly well, unseen damage to the lungs is common after pneumonia strikes and only becomes apparent when reduced performance leads to later or fewer finished lambs.
Vaccinating ewes with Heptavac-P Plus initially helps protect their lambs via the colostrum. However, this passive immunity wanes, leaving lambs unprotected. To immunise growing and store lambs after this period, two 2ml doses of Ovivac-P Plus, 4 to 6 weeks apart, are required. The course can be started from as early as three weeks of age.
Ovivac-P Plus contains antigens from four clostridial species and antigens from the most important serotypes of Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella trehalosi.
100ml and 500ml polyethylene multidose bottles.
